Welcome to the 2026 Nordic
Maxwell User Meeting
29 & 30 September 2026 - Malmö & Lund
Discover Glo 2023 - Biologically Relevant Models to Advance your Research
About this event
Introduction
After a first successful edition in Gothenburg in 2024, The Maxwell User Meeting returns in 2026, this time in Malmö and Lund. Over two days, scientists working with Maxwell® RSC and CSC instruments across the Nordics and Estonia come together to share experiences, discuss applications, and look ahead at where Maxwell technology is going next.
The programme is built around user-driven talks. You'll hear from colleagues who use Maxwell instruments in their daily work — what works well, where the challenges are, and how they have adapted their workflows. These talks are complemented by updates from Promega product developers, covering recent releases and a preview of what's in the pipeline.
New for 2026 is an optional visit to the Centre for Molecular Diagnostics in Lund on the afternoon of the second day, giving attendees the opportunity to see Maxwell instruments along side the MaxPrep in routine use and to continue the conversation in a hands-on setting. We will arrangev for transfer to and from Lund.
This is the second time we organise a Maxwell User Meerting inb the Nordics and the format has been kept deliberately close: a maximum of 50 participants, plenty of time for discussion between sessions, and a shared dinner on the first evening. The aim is straightforward — to give Maxwell users a place to meet each other, exchange ideas, and build relationships that outlast the conference itself.
Who should attend
The Maxwell User Meeting is aimed at anyone working with Maxwell® RSC or CSC instruments — from lab technicians to laboratory managers, clinical geneticists, and researchers. Previous attendees have included lab technicians, clinical geneticists, molecular pathologists, biomedical analysts, forensic scientists, researchers in wastewater surveillance, and laboratory managers in both academic and diagnostic settings.
Whether you're new to Maxwell or have been using it for years, you'll find colleagues working on similar questions and sample types — and a Promega team on hand to answer technical questions throughout the event.
Dates and location

The conference takes place at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Malmö, a short walk from Malmö Central Station. The hotel combines meeting facilities, accommodation and dining under one roof, so that the two days can flow without unnecessary transfers. After the afternoon sessions on day one, you can check in to your room, freshen up, and join us for a reception and dinner in the hotel.
Malmö itself is a practical meeting point for colleagues travelling from across the region. It is a relaxed, walkable city in Skåne, with the Øresund Bridge to Denmark on one side and the rest of Sweden within easy reach on the other.

Travelling to Malmö
Malmö is well connected by train, which makes it a straightforward destination for most attendees:
- From Copenhagen Airport (CPH): around 30 minutes by direct train across the Øresund Bridge. For those flying in from Norway, Finland or further afield, this is usually the most practical option.
- From Copenhagen city centre: around 40 minutes by direct train.
- From Gothenburg: around 2 hours 40 minutes by direct train.
- From Stockholm: around 4 hours 30 minutes with SJ's high-speed service.
- From Oslo: rail service via Gothenburg with Vy and SJ or direct with Snälltåget (evening train).
Malmö also has its own airport (MMX) with connections to Arlanda and Bromma, but Copenhagen Airport is almost always the faster route for international travel.

Promega is delighted to host you for these two days in Malmö. We cover hotel accommodation, breakfast, lunches, coffee and fika, the conference dinner, and transport between Malmö and Lund for those joining the lab visit. All you need to arrange is your journey to Malmö.
With places limited to fifty, every seat matters — both to us and to colleagues who would love to join. If something changes in your schedule, a quick note at least a week in advance lets us pass your place on to someone else.
