EDTA, 0.5M (pH 8.0), Molecular Biology Grade, is a chelator of divalent cations and is suitable for biochemistry and molecular biology applications. It is supplied as a solution in deionized water.

Form: Clear, colorless liquid.

Properties:

  • pH at 25°C: 7.9–8.1.
  • A280 at 0.5M: ≤0.25.
  • RNase Activity at 0.5M: ≤1.0% release of 3H-RNA.
  • DNase Activity at 0.5M: ≤1.0% release of 3H-DNA.
  • Protease Assay: None detected.
